WATCH: Kamala Harris on Biden's climate plan | Vice Presidential Debate 2020
California Sen. Kamala Harris on Oct. 7 argued that a Biden administration would be more fit to address climate change and the natural disasters that it exacerbates.
During the first and only vice presidential debate between Harris and Vice President Mike Pence, Harris pointed to the Trump administration's repeated push to remove some references to and data related to climate change from various government websites, as well as President Donald Trump's demonstrated skepticism regarding science.
Harris emphasized that a Biden administration would invest in renewable energy, create millions of jobs, move toward achieving zero emissions by 2050 and carbon neutrality by 2035, adding that Biden would reenter the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.
